Legal Counsel
I trained as a lawyer and very intentionally made my way to the world of venture. I have always been drawn to founders, their ambition, their desire to bring new things into the world - I love being a part of their journey. I’m good under pressure which is critical when you’re getting a deal over the line at pace. I thrive on being in the room and working alongside investors as they invest, and founders as they build. And, like any good lawyer, I love getting stuck into the detail and achieving results with a good old fashioned to do list!
Before Blossom, I advised high-growth tech companies and investors at Orrick. The job gave me a deep foundation in venture and a front-row seat to some of the most exciting deals in the space. I also spent time in-house on a client secondment at a prominent VC fund, working closely with different stakeholders in the industry and acquiring a commercial mindset that is a must for a great in-house lawyer.
While at Orrick, I sat in on a product demo from one of our clients and it completely altered my perspective on my job. It’s not just about the deal paperwork or legal nuances - it’s about being a partner to founders as they scale. Too often legal and operational stuff just gets in the way or takes up valuable time, so I make it my mission to make our founders’ jobs easier. They are putting it all on the line to grow their companies, so I match that energy. I take that mentality into my work every day.
Blossom is very much one vision, one focus - we’re here to help European founders think bigger, move faster, go further. We know Series A inside and out and believe in European companies wholeheartedly. My role isn’t about being centre stage - it’s about being a steady hand behind the scenes. I get to help brilliant people build brilliant things. That’s a pretty great place to be.
